Fans grill Cassper for tweeting about AKA after his death: ‘Be quiet’

Fans of the late South African rapper AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes – have grilled fellow rapper Cassper Nyovest. This after Cassper shared a series of tweets about AKA who died after he was shot in Durban last week. According to the “Megacy”, Cassper should have given AKA his flowers while he was still alive.

Many people pointed out that he chose to skip AKA’s memorial but now wants to tweet about it.

Cassper slammed for tweets about AKA

Cassper Nyovest is one of many South Africans who have extended messages of condolence to the family and friends of slain rapper AKA.

The star died in Durban last week where he was set to perform at Club Yugo on Friday evening. Sadly, he never made it to the performance.

Cassper, who revealed that he could not attend AKA’s memorial, did, however, take to his Twitter page to tweet about the memorial which took place on Friday 18 February at the Sandton Convention Centre.

“Uncle Tony, the original copy,” he wrote about a video of AKA’s father Tony Forbes who was in attendance.

He also tweeted lyrics from AKA’s Sim Dope which was also performed at the memorial.

Mzansi has a lot to say

The posts rubbed some of the slain rappers the wrong way. Many of them accused Cassper of failing to properly acknowledge AKA while he was still alive.

@loratoram commented:

“Keep quiet, I’d personally prefer that. Okare wa rasa nou! Gape you seem too excited.”

@RhuNdimande stated:

“But why did you not show up at the AKA’s memorial? I’ve always thought this beefing thing between the two of you was nothing but a marketing gimmick.”
