The Cape Town Pizza and Pasta Festival for 2020 is back! It is said that the event features an explosion of cheese and Italian desserts paired with a 360-degree view of Table Mountain, Granger Bay, the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town Stadium. Here pizza and pasta lovers can enjoy a day filled with cheesy goodness, live music and family entertainment with some of Cape Town’s finest Italian eateries.

The Cape Town Pizza and Pasta Festival will take place on 8 February 2020 from 12:00 at Fort Wynyard, Green Point.

8 February 2020 also marks International Pizza Day so there’s no better way to celebrate! It is said that before World War II, pizza was little known outside of Italy or Italian immigrant communities. And so, this cheesy disc went from a niche cultural meal to the star of the show anywhere it turns up! And at this festival, it will be no different.

What to expect:

Live entertainment at the Cape Town Pizza and Pasta Festival includes ShenFM, Liam Culbert, Chico Muya and Playground Twins. Kids under 13 get in free and there will be a jumping castle, paintball, quad bikes and a life-size fort for them to explore. What’s more, the event is dog-friendly.

It is reported that Cape of Good Hope SPCA will be joining the festival with their own stand. They will also have fluffy toys to give away in exchange for donations.

Ticket details:

  • Tickets are available online at webtickets or at any Pick n Pay for R100 to R120.

Note: It is reported that no outside food will be allowed into the venue; and because of limited card facilities, the organisers urge festival-goers to bring cash as there are no ATMs on-site.
