‘Pantsula doctor’: Tweeps question SA doctor’s qualifications
A South African doctor (Dr Qwabe) is trending on social media after tweeps questioned his medical qualifications based on his ‘pantsula’ look.

A South African doctor, who’s been identified by a tweep @AdvoBarryRoux as Doctor Sandile Qwabe from Newcastle has been on Twitter trends since the weekend after videos and pictures emerged from TikTok.

‘DOCTOR QWABE IS UNPROFESSIONAL’
The South African doctor, whose videos and pictures first became popular on TikTok landed on Twitter over the weekend and became judged by tweeps as he is seen smoking, dancing at work etc.
While some tweeps labelled him ‘a pantsula doctor’ because of his dress code, some questioned his medical qualifications and revealed they ‘reported’ his social media videos and pictures to the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa).
iReportSA reveals that Doctor Sandile Qwabe is an independent medical officer, one of the funniest and most chilled doctors, who’s forever making jokes on TikTok.
“Even at work, he’s not those kinds of doctors who are always serious, looking like they are about to do a heart operation. He’s simple, and his colleagues are always in stitches because of him,” adds the publication.
