‘Absolutely false’: Patrice Motsepe denies Katlego Danke ‘affair’

Dr Patrice Motsepe, one of Africa’s wealthiest men, has come out guns blazing against reports that he is having an affair with actress Katlego Danke. Both Motsepe and Danke topped the Twitter trends’ list recently after several accounts on Twitter claimed they were not only romantically involved, but that the Gomora actress was expecting a child with the businessman.

Danke won the hearts of South African soap fans with her character Dineo Mashaba on the hit SABC 1 show Generations. Motsepe, who is also a philantropist, has several business interests, including owning the football club Mamelodi Sundowns and stakes in mines.

PATRICE MOTSEPE SPEAKS OUT

In a statement issued on Thursday, 9 March 2023, lawyers for Dr Patrice Motsepe denied being linked to Katlego Danke and labelled the allegations as false.

“Allegations in the media that Dr Patrice Motsepe has children or a relationship with Ms Katlego Danke are absolutely false and are fake news … These allegations are defamatory and expose the disseminators of these false and untrue allegations due to legal liability. We have taken note of the article in Die Son in which Ms Katlego Danke is reported to have stated and clarified that Dr Patrice Motsepe is not the father of her child,” Bowmans Attorneys’ Tim Gordon-Grant said.

Motsepe is married to businesswoman Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe and the couple have three children.

The rumour mill has it that Danke once shared a business relationship with Patrice Mostepe, which has often been confused with a relationship with social media.
