South Africans took to social media to react to a man’s reaction to his bill at Soweto’s popular nightclub in Konka.

TimesLIVE reported in May that a night of fun and drinking in Konka did not end well for a man captured in a viral video, which was shared by a tweep @Wangqhazar_.

“Regret on his face. Majaivane next to him. The audio. Everything is dusting me,” captioned the social media user.

The video which has been viewed over 500 000 times shows the reaction of a man apparently served with a bill at the Soweto club.

In the video, the man, who is carrying a glass of alcohol tilts his head upwards and seems shattered after seeing the bill.

The publication reports, “Konka, in Pimville, is popular among township locals for having patrons with luxury sports cars and waitresses serving champagne bottles popping with fireworks. It is also known for serving hefty bills after a long night out.”

Konka’s price list went viral in 2021 after South Africans shared champagne costing from R1 300 to R14 000 a bottle and whisky prices ranging between R900 and R7 000.
