DJ Zinhle’s ex Brendon Naidoo to return to court on fraud charges

Businessman Brendon Naidoo allegedly swindled people out of R15 million through his companies Oracle Wealth Management and Apogee.

Businessman Brendon Naidoo, the ex-boyfriend of musician and businesswoman DJ Zinhle, is set to return to court in January 2023 for allegedly defrauding retired teachers and businesspeople of approximately R15 million.

Zimoja reports that his alleged acts of scamming date back to at least 2014.

According to reports, Brendon Naidoo allegedly swindled his victims through his investment companies Oracle Wealth Management and Apogee Management.

The spokesperson of the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa (NPA) Phindi Mjonondwane said that the case was postponed to 26 January 2023 “for the defence to file a review application.”

In April 2017, Drum reported that Naidoo was released on R60 000 bail after appearing at Alexandra Magistrate court on the charges.

Before that, he had been arrested in August 2016 on two charges of fraud and was released on bail. 


One of Brendon Naidoo’s alleged victims is a widow from the Free State province who says she invested the money her deceased husband had left for their children’s education.

“This has so been so painful. My husband left money for our child’s education after he passed away. I failed him thinking I was doing the right thing for our child’s future. Brendon took everything. Yet again, we pass another festive season of no justice, and we wait until January next year. When will this end?” said the woman who asked to remain anonymous.

Another one of Naidoo’s alleged victims, Thabo Tshephe, says he lost over R15 million.

“Brendon owes a lot of people money. I lost over R5 million. I started investing small, my first payment was R150 000 and I kept giving.”

His other alkeged victims include Sashi Govender and Teboho Twala

“I need that guy in jail. The case is dragging. Brendon took the retirement money of a principal, who trusted me. He owes me R250 000.This is a very easy case,” Twala said.
