Cape Town road closures: Pride March and other events take to the streets
It’s set to be a busy weekend in Cape Town! With two major festivals taking place, here are all the road closures to take note of.

It’s set to be a busy weekend in Cape Town! As the Mother City prepares for the colourful Cape Town Pride March and the Long Street Food Truck and Craft Beer Market on Saturday 26 February, there will be plenty of road closures to steer clear off.
Here’s what you need to know.

Cape Town road closures: Saturday 26 February –
CAPE TOWN PRIDE
Cape Town Pride is set to take place on Saturday 26 February from 13:00 till 21:00. The sold-out event will feature the annual Pride March and performances from Zoë Zana, drag queen Manila Von Teez, J Mitizi, Maxine Wilde and 3 Tons of Fun.
The event is set to take place at the A-Track in Green Point. The official After Party will take place on Long Street where you can expect five dance floors, bars and some great music.
The after party is set to kick off at 20:30, just after the main pride event.
About 2 000 people are expected to attend Cape Town Pride March.
LONG STREET TRUCK AND CRAFT BEER MARKET
The Long Street Sreet Truck and Craft Beer Market is set to kick off at 13:00 and end at 04:00 the next morning. As the name suggests, there will be plenty of craft beer on sale and unique markets to browse through. Music and art are on the cards too!
According to Cape Town etc, the market is aimed at assisting businesses in Long Street who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ROAD CLOSURES TO KNOW ABOUT
The section of Long Street between Wale and Orange Streets will be closed between 13:00 and 01:00 for the Long Sreet Truck and Craft Beer Market.
Bree Street between Buiten and Oprah Streets will be closed from 18:00 on Friday 25 February to 02:00 on Saturday 26 February for The Station on Bree Buddy, an annual pop-up party.
These streets between Loop and Keerom Streets will be closed between 13:00 and 01:00.
