22-year-old township man builds car from scrap materials [watch]

A high school student from KwaZulu Natal built himself a Bugatti. After seeing the car in a TikTok video,social media users were impressed.

22-year-old Thembelani Zondo was said to have dreamt of owning the luxurious Bugatti which retails at around R18 million; and because he was unable to afford it, he decided to build it for himself, You reported.


Thembelani Zondo is from Bergville township in KwaZulu-Natal. He is a high school pupil from Ohlange High School and has built himself a two-seater luxury sports vehicle. He has used all kinds of recycled material to put the car together. But, one thing is missing. He hopes to find a sponsor to assist him in getting a warm gearbox soon.

In a TikTok post, Zondo said

“If I can get the sponsor with an electric motor, it [the Bugatti] will be in motion.”

Zondo’s passion to build things has also driven him to make a bionic arm which he believes that one day, it can be used to help disabled people.

“Everything is possible,” he said.

Zondo has been showcasing his talent on TikTok and already has gained over 146k followers. His social media followers are truly impressed with his work and motivate him not to give up in the hopes that one day, he can reach his dream and even more.

“People like this guy are often given opportunities to work overseas because their local government doesn’t value them. Keep pushing my guy,” @User7161072140776 commented.
