Move over, Candice Swanepoel! 11-year-old Gizelle commanded attention as she strutted her stuff at the New York Fashion Week.

At just eleven years old, South African fashion model Gizelle (affectionately known as Miss G) is turning heads and making her dreams come true while doing it.
The Centurion-born and Mossel Bay-based fashion model brought the house down as she showcased designer Amelia Tuu’s 2022 collection at the New York Fashion Week on 11 September.

GIZELLE AT THE NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
According to News24, Gizelle is a triple threat because she not only models but also sings and acts.
In recent weeks, the starlet was scouted and invited to participate in a New York Fashion Week show for designer Amelia Tuu during her trip to the US for the International Modeling Talent Association (IMTA) convention. But, it all actually started last year when she was scouted at the International Arts Talent Showcase and immediately got signed to 33 and Me Talent agency and secured features for PEPCO.
Speaking about her trip to the Big Apple last month she said it was a dream come true.
“I am very honoured to be invited to New York Fashion Week. It’s always been a dream of mine, but I never thought it would happen this soon,” she said in a media statement.

MODELLING IS AT THE TOP OF HER LIST
Although singing and acting are also a big part of her life, Gizelle said that modelling comes first for her.
“I have always enjoyed creating my own outfits, and from an early age, I made it my business to keep up with current trends. I love fashion, and I think everyone should get to express themselves through fashion.”
When it comes to her favourite stars in her industry, Gizelle said she dreams of walking the runway with world-renowned models Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid.
“My favourite models are Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid. I would love to meet them someday and even walk with them on the runway,” IOL quoted her as saying.
