The film showcasing the years leading up to Queen’s legendary appearance at the Live Aid (1985) concert is about to hit cinemas all over the world.

The film tells the tale of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody is set to premiere in cinemas in South Africa on 14 December 2018.

Bohemian Rhapsody: Cast

Rami Malek plays the iconic Freddie Mercury in the film.

He has been praised for his performance, with reviews stating that an Oscar nomination might be on the way. He has also been praised for his performance at the Live Aid concert in which he almost does everything exactly as the late Freddie did in 1985. Malek reportedly watched Freddie’s performance over 1 500 times on YouTube to master his moves.

Apart from the star of the show, other cast members include Gwilym Lee in the role of a young Brian May, Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor and Joseph Mazzello as John Deacon. Lucy Boynton plays Freddie’s muse, Mary Austin.
