Black Friday, the one day where the world of shopping erupts in pandemonium, is upon us, and Takealot has put together an assortment of sweet deals that are sure to save you a lot of cash.
The day every shopper has been waiting for is less than 48 hours away. In 2019, Black Friday will take place on Friday, 29 November.
Takealot has pulled out all the stops to ensure that they have the best deals on offer, on Black Friday. If 2018’s frenzy was an indicator, this year promises to be a huge success for the online retailer.
According to a Moneyweb report, Takealot is expected to increase its sales by a whopping 80%, equivalent to R352-million, on Black Friday, and to kick things off, they have already launched the Blue Dot Sale.
“After expanding our Johannesburg distribution centre (DC), our warehouse storage space now stands at 75 000m square.
“We house over 3.7 million items at any given time, and have opened 47 Takealot Pickup Points in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Limpopo, Free State and Mpumalanga for order collections and returns, with more to open in the coming months,” Takealot CEO, Kim Reid said recently
This, Takealot says, is the early access sale that runs from Sunday, 24 November to Thursday, 28 November.
Nothing has been released, as yet, on what will be on offer for Black Friday, though. The online retailer noted that the deals will be posted at the following times over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend:
