Black Coffee infidelity rumours trend as he opens up about divorce

This isn’t the first time the internationally renowned DJ and producer has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, having previously been linked to a sex tape scandal in 2014.

In an interview with City Press, DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, revealed that he had sent his actress wife, Enhle Mbali, an e-mail asking her to move out with their two kids so they could work on their marriage.

The celebrity couple have been together for eight years with their lavish wedding at Sun City in 2011, attended by local celebrities and politicians, such as Julius Malema and Fikile Mbalula. Enhle filed for divorce in October 2019, confirming this in a video which she posted to her Instagram account in November.

Black Coffee and Enhle ‘tried everything’ to work things out

Black Coffee found himself topping the Twitter trends on Tuesday as his interview with City Press went viral. During the interview he revealed that he and Enhle ‘had tried everything’ to work out their marital problems. While he would not name the issues that they faced, he said they both made mistakes and after consulting a therapist and life coach, decided it was best to go their separate ways.

What surprised Twitter users the most about the interview, however, was a source revealing that he had fathered two children out of wedlock – a 12-month-old and 14-month-old. While the DJ-turned-businessman refused to confirm this, it is rumoured that Enhle was told informally by one of his family members who added that “such things happen in marriage”.

This isn’t the first time the DJ has trended for his private life. In 2014, a woman demanded R100 000 in exchange for a sex tape which apparently featured the musician. She was arrested and the matter handled by the Hawks.

Speaking to YFM, Black Coffee said he didn’t own anyone an explanation for the demise of his marriage. Enhle has previously called for privacy to protect the couple’s two sons.
