Rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) has asked singer, Billie Eilish to apologise to Travis Scott after she dissed the rapper during one of her shows at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Eilish briefly stopped her show on 5 February to give a fan an inhaler. She said “I wait for the people to be okay before I keep going”. Eilish was allegedly referring to an incident where fans died during the Astroworld Festival.

BILLIE EILISH URGED TO APOLOGISE

In a video clip that surfaced on social media, the singer, currently on the road for Happier Than Ever, The World Tour, was seen putting safety first as she looked out into the audience with concern. “You need an inhaler?” she asks before addressing her stage crew. “Do we have an inhaler? Can we just grab one?”

“It’s OK, we got one,” Eilish said, pointing to a concert attendee. “Give her some time. Don’t crowd.”

Ye took to Instagram to ask the star to apologise for her remarks.

“Come on Billie we love you, please apologise to Trav and the families of the people who lost their lives.”

Ye said no one intended for the incident to happen. “Trav didn’t have any idea what was happening when he was on stage. He was very hurt by what happened. Yes, Trav will be with me at Coachella but now I need Billie to apologise before I perform,” West said.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE TRAVIS SCOTT CONCERT?

In November 2021, the Astroworld Festival resulted in the deaths of ten people in Houston, Texas.

The crowd surged toward the stage during Scott’s performance, knocking fellow concertgoers over and squeezing them together so tightly that they could not even breathe or move their arms during the chaos.

Disturbing footage from the festival – which was attended by 50,000 people – that was shared on social media, showed  first responders performing CPR on a number of patients. Following the tragedy, day two of Astroworld was cancelled.
