BI Phakathi’s identity may be a mystery to Mzansi, but one thing for sure is that he has a big and generous heart.

The social media star – who has helped countless South Africans in dire need over the years – has come to the rescue of 30 hungry children living in a derelict home

The philanthropist not only gifted the large family with groceries and cash, but he also helped repair the home in which they stayed

PICKING UP WHERE SFISO NCWANE LEFT OFF

In a clip posted on his YouTube account, BI Phakathi revealed that he had revisited a boy he had helped before.

The boy led him to a home in KwaZulu-Natal, which was built by the late gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane.

The award-winning star – who died of kidney failure in 2016 – had gifted the home to the family in 2012. Unfortunately, he had yet to complete it, and since his death, it lay in ruin.

But BI Phakathi was inspired by the kindness of Ncwane, and continued where he left off. He did this by installing electricity and buying enough groceries to feed the 30 children who lived in the home. He also renovated the home.

Phakathi shared in an Instagram update: “Even when you are gone your work will speak for you. He was a great helper to the poor may his legacy be not forgotten”.
