Alonso dodges Taylor Swift questions

Formula One veteran Fernando Alonso isn’t letting the Taylor Swift rumors go away anytime soon.

The 41-year-old has been romantically linked to pop star Taylor Swift but neither of them has denied or confirmed the rumours.

After the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Alonso was asked by Sky Sports if he and Swift were an item but the Spaniard smiled and changed the subject.

“[I’m] just focused on Baku and racing. I usually keep my personal and professional life apart. I prefer not to comment on it.”

In April, reports emerged on social media that the former F1 champion was dating the Bad Blood hitmaker.

Alonso being Alonso, fuelled the dating rumours by posting a video of himself listening to Swift’s latest single.

In the video that was shared on his TikTok, the Spaniard cheekily winks at the camera while Swift’s song is playing in the background.

Alonso might have found some blank space

The two-time former F1 champion recently split with girlfriend Andrea Schlager while Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn called it a day last month.

The Spaniard was first linked with romantic ties to Swift after an Instagram post on the DeuxMoi Instagram account last week, which quoted an anonymous email reading: ‘A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS [Swift] and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso.’

The Aston Martin driver is currently 3rd in the Driver’s Championship table

 Alonso has once again enjoyed racing following his surprise start to the 2023 F1 season.

After spending a good part of a decade in F1’s midfield, the 41-year-year-old Spaniard made a surprise move to Aston Martin at the end of last year.
