A resident of Southridge, KwaZulu-Natal, reached out to a local security firm asking for assistance with an injured monkey

At approximately 08:41 this morning, 18 February, a resident of Primrose Drive in Southridge, KwaZulu-Natal, discovered an injured monkey on their property.

Resident asks for help in saving monkey

The resident contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a local security firm, for assistance.

Upon arrival, RUSA Members found a baby Vervet monkey on the driveway.

It had fractures in its legs and pelvis, as well as a laceration below its neck.

The officers transported the injured animal to RUSA HQ.

It will be handed over to an organization that specializes in rescuing injured Vervet monkeys.
