Shock and horror when dogs drag a HUMAN SKULL into their owners’ yard in KwaZulu-Natal, the jaw of the skull seemed fractured

A family from KwaZulu-Natal got the shock of their life when their dogs dragged a human skull into their yard on Wednesday, 25 January.

Human skull found by dog owners

After discovering a human skull in their yard, a family from Conifer Drive in Amanzimnyama, KwaZulu-Natal, contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance at approximately 08:46.

When Reaction Officers arrived, they discovered the human remains on the lawn.

Two of the homeowner’s three dogs, according to the homeowner, had a habit of exiting the yard through a hole in the fence to forage in a dense bush next to the property.

They believe the dogs discovered and returned the human remains to the yard while they were sleeping.

The jaw bone on the skull appears to be fractured/dislocated.

How to report a crime

When making a discovery of human remains, it is important to report the crime to police.

Reporting a crime is free at any police station.

Suppose you have been a victim of crime. 

In that case, you can report it to the police by dialing 10111 in an emergency or going to your nearest police station. To locate the physical location of your nearest police station.

If police officers arrive at the crime scene, they will attempt to obtain statements from you and any witnesses.

At the police station, the officer will enter the case into the SAPS Crime Administration System (CAS).
