Bring an oriental flair to dinnertime with this delicious sticky Asian pork chops recipe. The characteristic flavour of Asian dishes is so inviting and tempting. If your family loves Asian food, this recipe will be very popular in your home.

What makes these sticky Asian pork chops so special is the lip-smackingly delicious sticky sauce. To make the sticky sauce, simply mix brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and thyme until the sugar has dissolved. Throughout the cooking process, make sure to baste the pork chops generously with the sticky sauce. This will allow the sauce to permeate thoroughly into the pork chops.

In less than an hour, you can have these sticky Asian pork chops ready to be served. You may find your family hanging around the kitchen even before that time as the aroma is so alluring.

Serve with plain white rice and some green veggies. Steamed green beans or wilted baby spinach pairs perfectly with this appetising dish.

Ingredients

  • 6 6 pork chops

  • 100 ml 100 treacle brown sugar

  • 30 ml 30 soy sauce

  • 50 ml 50 Worcestershire sauce

  • fresh thyme

  • 1 teaspoon 1 garlic, crushed

Method

  • In a saucepan mix all the ingredients together until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Place the pork chops on a grill baking drip tray, brushing one side generously with the glaze.
  • Place the chops in a preheated oven of 160°C for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and turn the chops, basting the other side with the glaze.
  • Bake for another 30 minutes.
  • Season with salt if needed (soya sauce contain salt).
