Cheesy garlic bread – Easy and tasty side dish to any meal

What is better than garlic bread to complement dinner? A cheesy garlic bread of course! This mouth-watering bite will complete your dinner perfectly and make everyone reach for another slice more than once.

Preparing this cheesy garlic bread is super easy and will only take 20 minutes from start to finish. Whipping together the garlic-cheese mixture for the French loaf will only take about five minutes. Then, slather it all over the loaf of bread, pop it into the oven and get ready for the ultimate garlic bread oozing gooey cheese.

If you like a crispy top, you can also broil the cheesy garlic bread for about two minutes before taking it out of the oven. That extra crunch added to the garlic bread makes it even more appetising.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf 1 French bread

  • ½ cup ½ salted butter softened

  • ½ teaspoon ½ garlic powder

  • 3 cloves 3 garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon 1 Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup 1 Colby jack cheese, shredded

  • 1 cup 1 mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Method

  • Preheat oven to 205°C.
  • Cut the French bread loaf lengthwise and place it on top of a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl combine softened butter, garlic powder, minced garlic, Italian seasoning and shredded cheese.
  • Spread evenly on each side of the garlic bread. Top with Colby and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 12 – 15 minutes until the butter is melted and bubbly. You can also broil the top for 1 – 2 minutes, in the end, to give it a more crisp top.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
