If you are a fan of Indian food, you will love this pilau rice recipe. It is so aromatic that you will be tempted to enjoy a second or even a third portion if you have a large appetite.

Pilau rice, as it is known in British English or pilaf rice as it is known in the United States of America, is a feast for your taste buds. Wondering what is the difference between pilau rice and plain rice? Plain rice is boiled in water, whereas the pilau contains extra ingredients to give it a flavourful punch. You can also fry or bake pilau in the oven in addition to boiling it in water.

This recipe combines basmati rice with vegetable or chicken stock, white wine, salt, pepper and butter. This combination results in an incredibly aromatic dish. Butter makes the rice soft and creamy, thus adding to the taste experience.

Prepare this recipe once and you will never want to eat rice any other way again!
