Grapefruit Marmalade Cocktail – Warm your heart with citrus

It’s winter here in South Africa and all the sweet and tangy citrus is in season right now. So, why not take advantage and enjoy citrus in every way possible. The way we want you to enjoy one of these delicious fruits, the grapefruit, is in a gin cocktail. We call it the Grapefruit Marmalade Cocktail and it’s sweet and filled with joy.

Gin is such a versatile spirit that makes it great to experiment with different flavours. They can be sweet, tangy or even spicy. The Grey Hawk Craft Gin pairs beautifully with the tangy flavours of grapefruit and aromatic excellence of fresh rosemary. For that extra sniff of rosemary with every sip, rub the sprig of rosemary between your hands before adding it as a colourful garnish. You can also rub some of the grapefruit around the rim of the glass for extra flavour.

The Grapefruit Marmalade Cocktail is filled with ice but will warm your heart this winter.

Grapefruit Marmalade Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

• 25 ml 25 Grey Hawk Classic Gin

• 1 teaspoon 1 Grapefruit Marmalade (or any citrus marmalade)

• rosemary and a slice of grapefruit to garnish

Method

• Stir the marmalade and gin together in your preferred glass.
• Fill your glass up with crushed ice and Grapefruit Marmalade (or any citrus marmalade).
• Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary and a slice of grapefruit.
