‘HUNDREDS OF SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS’: DENNIS BARNES ON HIS ACHIEVEMENT

At just 16, Barnes has already been pushed to grade 11. His GPA score was said to have ranked at 4.0. He shared that he only thought he was doing just enough to get into college, not knowing at what magnitude he was working.

In an interview on WWL-TV, Barnes could be heard saying,

“I submitted college applications in August, with an eye on raising the bar high for college admissions.”

On his timelines, Barnes said,

“As I applied to more schools, my numbers went up, with the financial aid and acceptances into universities, I became intrigued when I was told I was close to the record, I just went for it.”

Barnes never imagined he would reach such an achievement. However since he did, he is now confident on where he wants to see his life in the future. On his quest to reach his dreams, several publications reported that Barnes has overtaken Guinness Book of World Records holder Normadie Cormier.
