After five years of playing villain Jack Mbaso on ‘Generations: The Legacy’, the time has come for actor Vusi Kunene to exit the popular soapie.

Generations: The Legacy has announced that fans will bid farewell to Jack Mabaso, the villain everyone loves to hate, played by Vusi Kunene on Wednesday 12 May.
Generations: The Legacy social media pages marked this week as a must-watch.
“[Must Watch] Siyanda wants revenge but he’s not ready for what is about to happen next! Don’t miss #GenerationsTheLegacy this week!” the teaser was captioned.
The legendary villain will say goodbye to the SABC1 soapie in a “bloody” exit after five years of being on the soapie as the show reports that he will be taking a break. It has been revealed that a long standing bitter rivlary will come to a bloody head.
“Oh, Mbulazi! ???? #GenerationsTheLegacy,” the video of Jack Mabaso was captioned.
“Vusi Kunene is one of SA’s most talented actors and it has been a privilege for us to enjoy a long history with him. We are incredibly sad to see him go but we wish him all the best in the new projects he chooses to pursue,” said Generations: The Legacy producer Karen Vundla according to Times Live.
Vusi Kunene said that he was passionate about playing the role of Jack Mabaso and he will miss everyone on the set of the soapie.
“I’ve always had a serious passion for Jack. He is the most popular character I have ever played and bringing him to life has been a pleasure. I’m really going to miss everyone because Generations is like a family,” said Vusi Kunene to Times Live.
He also acknowledged that making a soapie takes teamwork.
“It’s not one person’s work, it’s all our work. We all pull together and that’s what makes it so special,” he added.
