‘Cancel Uzalo’: Fans react to Nkunzi’s ‘death’ and Nonka’s storyline
‘Uzalo’s’ fan-favourite character Nkunzi will be announced dead tonight… Nonka will learn Kwanda is a drug dealer who kidnapped Hleziphi.

Viewers of the SABC1 soapie Uzalo have taken to social media to drag the show for writing out their fan-favourite character Nkunzi. Fans are also unimpressed that Nonka’s ‘perfect boyfriend’ Kwanda is a drug dealer.

NKUNZI’S ‘EXIT’ AND KWANDA’S DRUG BUST
Uzalo’s favourite character Nonka will find out tonight that her business partner Kwanda kidnapped her best friend Hleziphi, while the villain Nkunzi, who’s gotten away with murder for several seasons will be declared dead tonight, 17 August by Detective Mondli after Sbu poisoned him.
The TVSA August teasers reveal that Sbu will be the one to temporarily get rid of Nkunzi aka ‘Cool Kruger’ on Wednesday, 17 August and that he’ll be mourned by the KwaMashu residents.
Viewers also speculate that Nkunzi’s wife Gabisile will stage his death to buy time and find out who poisoned him.
Gabisile also staged her own death two seasons ago when her ex-husband Qhabanga threw her down the river and she was declared dead for months.
This will be the first time that Masoja Msiza’s character will temporarily take a break from the show since he joined the show in season three.
Sbu (Simphiwe Majozi) vowed to kill him when he got released from prison by the Magwazas and has attempted to kill him several times since his release.

‘UZALO’ VIEWERS REACT
Though Uzalo’s spokesperson Nomfundo Zondi revealed in an interview with Daily Sun that Nkunzi will be gone for a short time, viewers are concerned the show will not survive half a month without the villainous character as the actor Masoja Msiza, who plays the character has never left the show.
“Masoja is not leaving the show, but his character will start an exciting storyline. Viewers will be stunned by how Nkunzi is taken out and will be eager to find out how he will rise again.”

“Why can’t the writers give Nonka break the girl has been through a lot. Now she’s found her place then boom Kwanda with pink lips and drugs. Aaaaa this lady deserves break hle.”

“They should also kill Uzalo. I’m so bored with Magwaza family.”
