Magnum, MacGuyver, Mr T, DJ Tanner… all those 80s TV greats

If you grew up in the 1980s, you’ll probably remember huddling up around the TV waiting for your favourite shows to start. Not like these days, when everything is on demand, on the go, 24/7, you had to actually plan to be at home watching the shows you loved.

Here are some classic 80s TV shows’ theme songs. I dare you not to sing them out loud.

Knight Rider
The Hoff and a talking car? What’s not to love?!

The A Team
“In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire… the A-Team.”

MacGyver
There was no situation that this man couldn’t be solve with Gaffer tape. Did you know MacGyver’s first name was actually Angus?

Magnum PI
Shorter than short shorts, Ferraris and beautiful Hawaii scenery combine to make Magnum PI one of the most watched shows in the 80s.

Who’s The Boss?
No one will forget the legendary Tony Danza in this sitcom about a former pro baseball player becoming a housekeeper for a high-powered business woman.

Airwolf
A supersonic helicopter used to fight bad guys? Yes please!

The Wonder Years
Ah Kevin, we all loved watching him grow up and go through the rites of passage.

Full House
A touching yet hilarious sitcom about a man whose wife dies and his brother and friend who helps him raise his three daughters.
