Readers of ‘Hlomu The Wife’ have warned viewers of the series to not get attached to Mqhele as he’s going to break Hlomu’s heart.

Viewers of ‘Hlomu The Wife’ are completely obsessed with Bonko Khoza’s character, Mqhele on the Showmax telenovela.
A female viewer said she’s been taking a taxi to work just like Hlomu (Mbali Mavimbela) since the series began and hopes to run into a taxi driver who is exactly like Khoza’s character.
‘OUR NATIONAL HUSBAND’
The real appeal of Mqhele is his constant chase for Hlomu, who is engaged to Sandile (Kay Sibiya) and the way he treats her like his queen.
He is not bothered by the fact that she is living with another man, and never asks about Sandile because he doesn’t regard him as his competition.
Mqhele wasn’t even bothered by the fact that his brother, Qhawe (Kwenzo Ngcobo) saw Hlomu first, has a crush on her, and wants to pursue her.
Khoza’s character is also unbothered by her engagement that you see him caressing the very hand that she’s got her engagement ring on, in one scene.
A viewer defined him perfectly when she tweeted:
“uMqhele is the definition of big D energy”

The viewers favourite scene was when Mqhele came over to Hlomu and Sandile’s apartment and made out with her while Sandile was in the bathroom.
Mzansi women now want a man who will chase them and obsess over them as Mqhele on the Showmax telenovela.
The plot twist was when Hlomu gave him permission to break her virginity after knowing him for less than two weeks even though she was with Sandile for over seven years.
Readers of the book have also warned viewers who haven’t read the book to not get too attached to Mqhele as he hasn’t shown Hlomu his real side yet.

A tweep tweeted:
“You can tell those who haven’t read the books cause they’re getting excited for the future of Hlomu and Mqhele’s relationship. Should we tell them?”
Another viewer revealed that Mqhele is going to physically assault Hlomu in the coming weeks and that Hlomu is currently ignoring all the red flags.
Actor, Bonko Khoza revealed in an interview that he promised to be fully immersed in the character when he got the brief and said he’s grateful to be able to share his craft with viewers.
