Mzansi Magic is introducing another action-packed thrilling drama which will debut on Monday 5 July.

According to Mzansi Magic, the show is about an ill-treated makoti called Nqobile from the Nkosi family. Nqobile will outsmart her abusive husband and take over his empire.

Nomsa Philiso, the director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, said:

“The fact that this riveting series mirrors real-life and real-time scenarios such as the battle between e-hailing services and traditional meter taxis while also exploring issues such as gender-based violence, shows synchrony between Mzansi Magic content and relevant, real-life events. This is something we are excited about at the channel.”

‘NQOBILE’ PLOT

Viewers will get to see Nqobile in a new position of power, thrust into a male-dominated industry. The show will reveal everything she must do to negotiate her freedom, maintain respect, and thrive in the industry.

She will transform the empire into a women-led e-hailing service, while indirectly declaring war against her husband. The show unfolds in the streets of Leondale.

Stellar cast of Lillian Dube, Magic Hlatswayo

Nqobile will include a stellar cast consisting of veteran actors Lillian Dube — who will play the role of a “black widow”, and Magic Hlatswayo.

‘SCANDAL!’ AND ‘ISIBAYA’ ACTORS

Former Scandal! actors Kagiso Medupe will play Nqobile’s husband Simo, while actress Nqobile “Nunu” Khumalo will play his wife Nqobile.

Actress Nomsa Nene will play the role of Sarah and Lele Ledwaba will play the role of Mampho.
