‘Back with a bang’: Nomalanga Shozi stars in 1Magic dramedy ‘Roomies’

Former Rhythm City actress Nomalanga Shozi bounces back to the small screen with a role in the 1Magic ‘dramedy’ series Roomies.

Nomalanga Shozi, the darling of SA small screen, is back with a bang. She has won big of late, from headlining awards to hosting significant events – like Davido’s album listening session.

TRUELOVE reports that despite having a small screens hiatus recently, the celebrated actress is back on our screens with a lead role in the 1Magic ‘dramedy’ series Roomies.

NOMALANGA SHOZI BAGS A ROLE IN ‘ROOMIES’

The series is capped with drama and thrills. Its storyline and plot explores the journey of adulthood.

The 28-year-old Shozi stars as Tsholo in the series.

Speaking to TRUELOVE, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, Shirley Adonisi said: “Roomies captures real-life experiences viewers can relate to while also providing entertainment to keep them engaged and wanting more.”

Shozi’s acting career spans several years and she has quickly become one of South Africa’s finest.

Her eponymous on-screen character of Nomalanga in the e.tv drama series Rhythm City thrust her into the limelight.

Since then, she has been wowing Mzansi with her unmatched acting flair.

MOST SOUGHT-AFTER PRESENTER

Apart from acting, she has established herself as a celebrated presenter.

In recent years she has furnished her talent and is arguably one of the finest presenters in South Africa.

Shozi isn’t afraid to claim herself as one of the best in the business.

Speaking to TRULOVE, Shozi said: “South Africa is not the limit, Africa’s not the limit, the world is not the limit. When they know my name on Mars, then I’ll say ‘okay cool, I’ve done what I needed to do’.”
