PLAYING BONGA IN THE SERIES

The series is a revenge story where Sebeng highlights Bonga’s PTSD.

His character tries to be soft, but has traumas that he has not dealt with though he is a man now, he is still carrying scars from when he was a boy and has not healed yet.

Bonga didn’t have parents growing up, all he had was his sister so everything he knows, he learned from the streets.

“He has not healed from his past, he has only found a coping mechanism.”

Sebeng adds that it’s very important to him as an actor to be true to each character he plays, and not judge them.

“When you are authentic about the character, you can show them in their truest forms.”

“Even if someone is a killer or a psychopath, they are human first and I always try to be vulnerable and true to each role.”

“Whatever a person is, they are human first.”
