Inside Muzi Mthabela’s ‘Imbewu: The Seed’ exit and new ‘Generations’ role

Imbewu: The Seed actor Muzi Mthabela just exited the e.tv telenovela to join SABC 1’s Generations: The Legacy as Nkosiyabo Cele.  

Viewers of the e.tv show were surprised when his character, Menzi finally got killed this week by his lover, Makhosazana.

MUZI MTHABELA: MENZI   

Seasoned actor Muzi Mthabela just exited Imbewu: The Seed as Menzi to join Generations: The Legacy as Nkosiyabo Cele.  

Viewers of the e.tv telenovela saw Menzi being buried alive by his girlfriend Makhozasana (Lusanda Mbane) and his wife Violet (Xoli Zondi-Zamisa).   

Mthabela played the casanova role to perfection and dated several women at the same time.   

He dated MaZulu (Leleti Khumalo), Nirupa (Jailoshini Naidoo), Makhozana, and even attempted to date MaZulu’s older daughter.

‘GENERATIONS: THE LEGACY’: NKOSIYABO CELE  

The actor debuted on Generations: The Legacy last Thursday (16 December) as Siphesihle Cele’s uncle, Nkosiyabo Cele.  

He stated in an interview with Daily Sun that his new character’s storyline will be full of fireworks and a beautiful storyline.  

He added that the Cele family is wealthy but has problems with power and that viewers should expect him to give the Morokas a hard time.   

Mthabela’s character is very protective of Sphe (Pearl Monama) and will fight her battles with the Morokas.   

“There was a dispute between the Morokas and Sphe, Nkanyiso will fight for Sphe and won’t let that dispute slide.”  

Viewers should also know that Nkosi will get into business with the Morokas.

HIS EXIT FROM ‘IMBEWU: THE SEED’  

Mthabela also explains to the publication that he resigned from Imbewu so that he can spend time with his family in Johannesburg.   

“I was working in Durban and my family stays in Johannesburg. I’d see them once or twice a month.”  

He’s a family man and wanted to spend more time with them and made the decision to leave.   

“The reports that stated that I left the show on a sour note are untrue.”

“I’m not that kind of person who leaves work in a bad manner.”
