Emotional Ama Qamata bids farewell to ‘Gomora’ family [WATCH]

Actress Ama Qamata, who played Buhle Ndaba for two years in ‘Gomora’ says playing the role has been an absolute pleasure.

Actress Ama Qamata, who played Buhle Ndaba since Gomora season one took to her Instagram account to bid farewell to the cast, crew, and viewers of the telenovela.   .

Buhle Ndaba’s tragic death on Gomora left fans emotional last week as the actress Ama Qamata, who played Thati Ndaba’s teenage daughter was with the show from the beginning.   

The 23-year-old actress played the character for two years and has seen Buhle grow from strength to strength.  

She first lost her father (played by The Queen actor Themba Ndaba) then lost her brother Langa (played by Estate actor Siya Xaba).

The Blood&Water bid farewell to the show by sharing an emotional scene from her last shooting day on set. In the scene, her character Buhle got shot and killed by Qhoqhoqho at the taxi rank in front of her family and friends.   

Qamata gets a round of applause in the video from the cast and the directors of the show.   

“Can’t even find the right words to type out right now. I’ll keep it simple, thank you Gomora it’s been an absolute pleasure and privilege to be on the show. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and I’m so blessed to have shared it with you guys.”   

“Thank you to the cast, crew, and producers who are like family to me. Thank you, South Africa, for embracing Buhle in your homes and public lol. I don’t take for granted what this show has done for my growth and career, I’m forever humbled and grateful.”

She officially exited the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora this season after getting killed by Thati (Katlego Danke) and MamSonto’s enemy Qhoqhoqho (Pakamisa Zwedala).   

Qhoqhoqho planned to avenge his son’s killer MamSonto (Connie Chiume) who accidentally killed his five-year-old son in season one in a hit-and-run accident.   

Viewers were pleased when MamSonto killed Qhoqhoqho in last night’s (22 August) episode after he killed her granddaughter last week.
