Actor Vuyo Dabula will make his return as Kumkani “Gadaffi” Phakade in Generations: The Legacy on Friday 13 August after an absence of several months.
The teaser for the episode reads:
Gadaffi witnesses an interaction and rushes out in a panic.
This follows rumours that the actor would make an appearance again.
The rumour mill was kick-started when actress Khabonina Qubeka joined the show a few weeks ago as his mysterious wife, Oby Phakade.
The announcement of his new wife shocked fans because Gadaffi has always been in love with Tshidi Moroka (Latoya Makhene) for as long as he was present on the show.

It is unclear if Dabula will be returning for good if one has to go by the rumours that he was leaving the show for good last year to join The Queen and Uzalo.
The actor however refuted claims that he is exiting the show last year and told Drum Magazine:
I am staying. There are a whole lot of stories around this. It is a bit bizarre, the idea that I am leaving Generations has been preceded by other news that has been circulating that I am leaving SA.
Some headlines speculated that Dabula was forced to choose between Generations: The Legacy and Queen Sono.
The rumours of his departure began when Netflix announced that they gave Queen Sono the green light to shoot season two.
The excitement of Queen Sono‘s return was short-lived when Netflix had to can season two due to COVID-19 and other unforeseen circumstances.
