400 Years: Taking The Knee

Narrated by BBC radio presenter Dotun Adebayo, this powerful two-part documentary tells the many stories of black resistance to oppression. Part one investigates the struggles at play during the breakdown of slavery while part two examines the legacies of slavery and colonialism up to the present day. Each episode looks to literary composers, political organisers and even modern celebrities who have challenged societal norms and broken free of oppression and the legacies it holds.
