Actress Dawn Thandeka King, who plays the role of Thandiwe (also known as Mashenge) on DiepCity, hasn’t appeared on the show for a couple of weeks now.

Where is Mashenge? What we know

#DiepCityMzansi on Twitter is wondering if she has temporarily or permanently exited the show.

  • The actress plays a domestic worker, a wife to Bonga (Hamilton Dlamini) and a mother to daughters Nox (Nozuko Ncayiyane) and Lungile  (Luyanda Shezi).
  • The last time we saw Mashenge was when she was hospitalised.
  • Her hospital storyline was dragged unnecessarily because they didn’t even detect any chronic illnesses that warrantied her to stay long.
  • When she finally got discharged from the hospital, she left DiepCity to be a guardian in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
