e.tv promises viewers that ‘Rhythm City’ will end on a high note

Tomorrow marks the end of ‘Rhythm City’ after 14 years on air. Several cast members have moved on while others are still searching for their next role.

One of e.tv’s longest-running soapies, Rhythm City, is ending tomorrow (16 July) after 14 years on air.

 The channel informed Daily Sun that viewers will not be disappointed by the finale tomorrow evening.

This week will showcase a tale with beautiful endings from Jafta and Fats finally finding the love of their lives to Sabelo and Sindiswa moving into their own home and Suffocate ending up sharing a prison cell with Khulekani.

‘RHYTHM CITY’ STORYLINE

  • Khulekani (Mcendisi Shabangu) will get arrested this week for all his crimes.
  • Pearl (Petronella Tshuma) and Mzi (Jesse Suntele) will leave everyone behind, drive off into the sunset, and live happily ever after.
  • Kop (Sehlabi Taunyane) and Blossom (Slindile Nodangala) have sold their house to Sindiswa and Sabelo. The pair will retire in KwaZulu-Natal

PREVIOUS MEMORABLE ‘RHYTHM CITY’ CAST MEMBERS

  • The show had some of Mzansi’s most talented actors such as Motshidi Motshegwa who played the role of Naomi.
  • Naomi was a psychotic and manipulative woman who was obsessed with Miles Vilakazi (Peter Sephuma).
  • Award-winning actor Jamie Bartlett played the role of the villainous David Genaro for over a decade. 
  • Current 7de Laan actress Keabetswe Motsilenyane who plays the role of Lesedi Moloi played the role of Lucilla Vilakazi for several years.

CAST MEMBERS THAT HAVE MOVED ON

  • Rhythm City’s leading actor Mduduzi Mabaso who plays the role of Suffocate Ndlovu has joined the cast of DiepCity.
  • Slindile Nodangala who plays the role of Blossom has joined Scandal! It has not been revealed what role she will play.
  • Mpho Molepo who plays Fats on the show has also moved on to SABC 1’s educational soapie Skeem Saam. He plays the role of Jazzy T.

‘HOUSE OF ZWIDE’

A new rags-to-riches soapie called House of Zwide will replace the soapie from Monday 19 July.

The fashion drama series stars former Generations: The Legacy cast members Vusi Kunene who played the role of Jack Mabaso, Winnie Ntshaba who played the role of Khethiwe, former Uzalo actor Khaya Dladla and many more.
