LEHASA MOLOI‘S NEW ROLE

Seasoned actor Lehasa Moloi has returned to the small screen as Winston on SABC1’s popular soapie, Generations: The Legacy.

The actor recently revealed in an interview with TrueLove that jobs were hard to come by after he got rejected numerous times.

Moloi also reveals the reason why this is his dream role:

“I grew up watching Generations. It’s partly where I caught the acting bug, so this is a huge honour and privilege.”

“Other languages, except isiZulu, isiXhosa, English, and Afrikaans, are barely given a chance on TV these days. Artists who do not speak the ‘profitable’ languages are sidelined.”

He auditioned for the role after the script was sent to his agent.

“The script for this role was written and sent to my agent. I auditioned for it and got it.”

“I recently set up a studio at home for my photography business, so that helped me get the right look and feel for the self-tape.”

‘GENERATIONS: THE LEGACY’: WHO IS WINSTON?

Winston arrived last week as Sphesihle Cele and Luyolo’s (Karabo Maseko) patient at the hospital.

He’s been flirting with Dr Cele (Pearl Monama) since he woke up from his operation and won’t back off until she agrees to go out on a date with her.

We know nothing about Winston as he’s not been forthcoming with information about himself to her or the police.

He even pretended to have amnesia when the police questioned his stab wounds after his surgery.

We know that Sphe is single after her break up with Luyolo and she’s developing feelings for him because she keeps flirting with him too.
