WHO IS DON VINO?

Don Vino Prins, better known as Don Vino, has been in the music industry for more than two decades. His first instrument was the banjo before switching to the trumpet. Vino then picked up his true love, the saxophone at 15 years old.

The Epping Forest native has toured Europe, Dubai and the United States playing with the likes of Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler and Geral Veasley. He also is Jonathan Butler’s resident saxophonist for the R&B star’s South African band.

Vino does not restrict himself to just one specific genre of music and has performed genres like jazz, gospel R&B and Afrikaans.

‘SAXY VIBES 4.0’

After a two-year hiatus, Don Vino is returning to the stage for his Saxy Vibes 4.0 show. The last Saxy Vibes show was held at Cape Town’s Grand Arena where Vino played to a sold-out crowd.

“I’m ecstatic about this show. We were stopped in our tracks in 2020 while planning a spectacular event, so you can now imagine, we had two years to put this thing together, so it’s going to be awesome and I’m extremely excited to present this one to the public,” said Vino.

“My shows are always energetic, vibrant and suave, so the fans can expect a lot of dancing, sing-along songs and beautiful ballads because I am after all Mr SaxyVibes.”
