‘Idols SA’ winner Elvis Blue, Refentse and Bok van Blerk are set to perform at Piekniek en Musiek at the Nederburg Wine Estate on 4 December.

Piekniek en Musiek, one of the Western Cape’s most-loved Afrikaans music festivals, is back! The festival is set to take place on Sunday 4 December at the Nederburg Wine Estate in Paarl with a superstar lineup featuring the likes of Refentse and Idols SA 2010 winner, Elvis Blue.

PIEKNIEK EN MUSIEK RETURNS 

Piekniek en Musiek was founded by local entrepreneur Ian Bredenkamp in 2017. Over the years, he has worked with the likes of Hollywood A-listers, Lizzo, Cardi B, Kylie Minogue and Mzansi’s Will Linley This year, the festival will take place at the Nederburg Wine Estate, which acts as the new home of Piekniek en Musiek. 

Late Afrikaans musician Thenus Jordaan, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Refentse and Elvis Blue have all performed at Piekniek en Musiek.

WHO WILL BE PERFORMING AT PIEKNIEK EN MUSIEK 2022? 

Bok van Blerk, one of the most loved Afrikaans stars in the music industry, will be taking the stage at Piekniek en Musiek. Van Blerk is best known for his hit tracks Harde Kole, Was and Die Land

He will be sharing the stage with Die Kontrak television presenter Tarryn Lamb, who is best known for her single Mal oor Jou en Vier Woorde. Refentse and award-winning musician Elvis Blue will also be hitting the stage for a superstar performance. 

The afternoon will be hosted by media personalty Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW 

Gates for Piekniek en Musiek will open at 11:00 and the performances kick off at 14:00. Festival-goers are allowed to bring their own picnic basks but there will be food trucks available throughout the afternoon. 

Tickets for adults are R250 while there are limited tickets for children aged 12 and under at R150 each.
