On Monday 23 May, Time Magazine released its annual list of the 100 most influential people of 2022. This year, several musicians made the list under different categories. The likes of Grammy award-winning R&B star Jazmine Sullivan, country singer Miranda Lambert and Adele all made the list.

Jazmine Sullivan won two Grammy Awards at the 64th annual Grammys in May this year. Sullivan won the Best R&B Album award for her 14-track album Heaux Tales. She shared the Best R&B Song award for Pick Up Your Feelings with Silk Sonic’s Leave The Door Open.
In her blurb about Sullivan, American actress Amber Riley writes: “She is so deserving of her most recent Grammy win, along with the acclaim and other accolades that have been an honour to witness.”
“But the most exciting part of her recent career journey has been that Sullivan has allowed us to share in her journey to self-love, removing herself from the shadows of fear as we can clearly see in her 2021 album, Heaux Tales.”
Adele has consistently won the world over with her impeccable songwriting skills. Her latest album, 30, features incredible tracks like To Be Loved, My Little Love and I Drink Wine. The British singer-songwriter has made an appearance on Time’s 100 Most Influential list.
Television host and actor James Corden was tasked with writing a blurb about the award-winning singer and praised her songwriting skills.
“She puts emotions into words, describing them in a way we never could ourselves. She is raw, honest and elegant all at the same time. It never feels like she sings to us. She sings for us,” wrote Corden.
