Sundowns announce star-studded music lineup ahead of weekend clash

The likes of Cassper Nyovest, Makhadzi and Kabza De Small are all set to perform at the Mamelodi Sundowns game on Saturday 23 April.

One of Mzansi’s biggest football clubs, Mamelodi Sundowns, is gearing up for their second leg match against Angolan football club, Petro de Luanda for the CAF Champions League on Saturday 23 April. 

Sundowns, popularly known as Masandawana, has called upon some of Mzansi’s biggest musos for some thrilling halftime entertainment. Award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest, the king of amapiano, Kabza De Small and Adiwele hitmaker Young Stunna are just a few artists who will be performing at FNB Stadium in Soweto.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS SUPPORTER APPRECIATION DAY 

Mamelodi Sundowns’ match against Petro de Luanda will also double-up as the inaugural Mamelodi Sundowns Supporter Appreciation Day. 

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday 20 April, the football club shared that there will be much more than just live entertainment. Supports can also expect in-stadium giveaways, good food and beverages. 

“It’s going to be a party!” wrote the club. 

THE STAR-STUDDED LINEUP

The football team has roped in the best of the best for their Supporter Appreciation Day. The likes of Makhadzi, King Monada, amapiano star Mamelodi Sundowns ladies player Hlogi Mash, will also be taking the stage.

CASSPER NYOVEST EXPRESSES HIS EXCITEMENT

Taking to Twitter on Friday 22 April, Cassper Nyovest expressed his excitement for the performance at FNB Stadium. 

“Yoh, I miss performing at stadiums to thousands of fans!! I can’t wait for this one, Masandawana let’s go!! Actually Mzansi this is CAF, let’s stand behind our home team!” wrote the Tito Mboweni hitmaker.
