KYLE DEUTSCH’S ANTHEM IN SUPPORT OF DURBAN’S SUPER GIANTS

Kyle Deutch’s latest single, ‘Never Over’ is an inspiring sporting anthem that speaks to the heart of Durban’s Betway SA20 franchise, Super Giants.

To create the single, Deutsch immersed himself in Durban’s vibrant music culture to fully understand the impact music has on the people in the local community. He shaped the song to speak to listeners’ hearts and minds, focusing on Durbanites’ fighting spirit, never-give-up attitude, and commitment to working together.

“This was never the plan for January 2023, but when I received a surprise call from the Super Giants and here we are. It’s been an unbelievable process, and we are super proud of the anthem we’ve created in this time. I am truly honoured to be a part of the ‘Super Giants’ family worldwide and performing this once we win the tournament, will be a dream,” Deutsch says.

DURBANITE IN HEART AND SOUL

His patients call him Dr. Deutschmann; family and friends call him Kyle, and his passion for music has inherited him the name, Kyle Deutsch.

Born and raised in Ethekwini, Kwa-Zulu Natal, the singer has many talents, but making music is his main focus.

He started his music career learning to play guitar at the end of junior school, singing casually here and there. Soon he began to realise his true passion and began performing at acoustic sessions in cafe’s and restaurants, really coming into his own as a local musician.

In 2014 he entered South African Idols season 10, where he won the hearts of the viewers, placing fifth.

Soon after, he burst onto the local and international music scene with a rapidly growing following, creating hit after hit, and collaborating with some of Africa’s hottest artists and producers to date; including Cassper Nyovest, Shekhinah, Kwesta, Kelly Khumalo, Distruction Boyz, and Sketchy Bongo.

A LOVE OF FOOTBALL

Music was never Deutsch’s first love. As a young boy, he got exposed to the world of football, and a lifelong passion was born.

Kyle’s father, Bobby Deutschmann, played at the highest level in South Africa in his prime, and his son was soon to follow suit. Growing up, Deutsch played most sports at a provincial level. Semi-professional football was his main focus in high school; after school he turned professional while completing his Masters in Chiropractics.

At the age of 23, he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic’s and soon became an international award-winning Chiropractor, winning a first place award at the global FCIS Congress in 2015 for his Thesis entitled “The effect of three Manipulative protocols on the kicking speed in soccer players.”

During his time, he became a key player for the National beach soccer team, travelling both nationally and internationally.
