1. MICHAEL JACKSON – ‘THRILLER’

What better way to kick off the list than with the King of Pop! Michael Jackson’s Thriller might be THE most essential Halloween track. You might find yourself doing the dance choreography. Well, why not? Halloween only comes once a year!

2. YEAH YEAH YEAHS – ‘HEADS WILL ROLL (A-TRACK REMIX)’

You probably first heard this song in the American film Project X. The film that made you wish you went to an epic house party in high school! The Yeah Yeah Yeahs had everyone rocking to this track and the album cover just screams Halloween!

3. DJ JAZZY AND THE FRESH PRINCE – ‘A NIGHTMARE ON MY STREET’

We’ve covered pop, a bit of electro and now we’re moving onto some hip-hop! The Fresh Prince aka Will Smith delivers a cool rap to a low tempo beat on A Nightmare On My Street. A young Smith narrates an interesting evening of Halloween fun on this track.

4. KANYE WEST FEATURING JAY-Z, RICK ROSS, NICKI MINAJ AND BON IVER – ‘MONSTER’

Old-school to new school-hop hip-hop! Kanye West’s Monster from his 2011 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a great new-school addition to your Halloween playlist!

Ye rounded up the best musicians for this one and Adele got us hooked onto Nicki Minaj’s verse when she rapped it word for word in 2016!

5. ROCKWELL- ‘SOMEBODY’S WATCHING ME’

If you feel like somebody’s watching you… they just could be, it’s Halloween after all. This upbeat tune by Rockwell transports you right back to the 80s. This track is a classic for your Halloween playlist!

6. RIHANNA – ‘DISTURBIA’

Rihanna’s Grammy-nominated 2007 hit Disturbia is all about fear and darkness. Although Queen Riri isn’t making music anymore, it’s always great to throw it back, Disturbia’s opening lyrics are just so catchy!
