Other than dancefloor bangers and fan favourites like Tsela Tse Nyane, Tabela Hape and Sjepa, Focalistic also address real issues such as the venom that comes with fame on the opening track Dipuo.

Focalistic’s big break came in 2018 following his association with the DJ duo Major League DJz after Sjava co-signed him on twitter and later scoring an invite from Major League to pop in at the studio.

The 26-year-old announced his arrival as one of the continents brightest talents for his role on the amapiano collaboration Champion sounds featuring afro beats star Davido.

Following the collaboration Focalistic has since then travelled the world placing the amapiano on the global map.

Focalistic credits amapiano for youth empowerment and says he will still be unemployed if it was not for the genre.

“Amapiano has done more for the youth and for kasi more than the government. I probably would still be unemployed. If you take a look at the economy, Amapiano is basically carrying it on its back,” he said.
