FILIPA’S RISE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

After winning the Ryan Seacrest cover song competition, Filipa Carmo da Silva, popularly known as Filipa, released her debut single Chills in 2014, receiving rave reviews from music lovers.

Her follow-up single, Little White Lie, climbed the iTunes and local radio charts where it scored a top-five spot on 5FM and a top 20 spot on Jacaranda FM in 2016.

Over the years Filipa has travelled to New York and Los Angeles and worked with accomplished producers and songwriters. She has also worked with platinum-selling songwriter Pam Sheyne, who has been instrumental in helping her craft her stories.

‘NO WORDS’

In Filipa’s new single, No Words, she speaks about the captivating chemistry between two people in love.

“When communication happens through body language and exchanged glances; when you know a person so well and know what they are thinking without much being said; when you are so in love with and captivated by another person that this energy takes over and nothing else matters,” said Filipa.

“Having gone through such feelings and because I always get inspiration from my own personal experiences. I got into the studio one day and knew this was what I was going to write about!”
