When it comes to Fifa World Cup anthems, the criteria is simple: it has to unite football lovers around the world through song.

Of course, it helps to be catchy like Waka Waka, Wavin’ Flag and We Are One (Ole Ola) – all from previous tournaments.

The World Cup kicks off on Sunday 20 November and runs up until 18 December.

WHAT IS THE 2022 OFFICIAL FIFA WORLD CUP SONG?

Unlike previous World Cups, this edition has more than one song – it has a soundtrack with artists from around the globe.

Here are a few of the tracks you can expect to hear

Hayya Hayya (Better Together) – featuring Trinidad singer Cardona, Nigerian superstar Davido and Qatari performer Aisha.

The World is Yours to Take – a collab between US rapper Lil Baby and British pop rock band Tears For Fears.

Tukoh Taka – by US rapper Nicki Minaj and Brazilian pop star Maluma.

Respecting the culture of World Cup host country Qatar, the soundtrack also features some of the Arab world’s most famous female singers like Balqees, Nora Fatehi, Manal, and Rahma Riad, who collaborate on the song Light Up The Sky.

Arhbo – a song sung in Arabic by Ozuna, GIMS and RedOne.
