The sequel to Kanye West’s Grammy-nominated album Donda is set to be released on 22 February. Digital Nas, a producer on Donda 2, told Rolling Stone that Kanye was working closely with Marilyn Manson. Digital Nas said he sees Manson in the studio “a lot”.

MARILYN MANSON ABUSE CLAIMS

Exactly a year ago, Marilyn Manson’s ex Evan Rachel Wood claimed the singer “horrifically abused” her during their three-year relationship. She further claimed that she was “brainwashed and manipulated into submission”.

Manson denied Wood’s claims, calling them “horrible distortions of reality”. Several other women came forward making similar claims about the singer.

Despite the allegations, Kanye West worked with Manson on Donda in 2021. The two teamed on Kanye’s Jail Pt 2. The rapper was lambasted for working with Manson and it seems the two are back in the studio together…

Producer Digital Nas, who is also working on Donda 2, told Rolling Stone that he sees Marilyn Manson in the studio “a lot”.

“Like, every day I go to the studio, Marilyn is there working on Donda 2. He [Kanye] doesn’t want Marilyn to play rap beats,” added Nas.

“He wants Marilyn to play what he makes and then Ye will take parts of that and sample parts of that and use parts of that, like he did [generally when making] Yeezus.”

“He has some producers from Yeezus working on Donda 2 this time around, [as well as] Marilyn, me, a bunch of producers from Donda 1.”

‘WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES’

Digital Nas also told the publication that he thinks Kanye West has developed “sympathy” for Marilyn Manson following the abuse claims made by Evan Rachel Wood.

“I’m just assuming it is from a standpoint of like, ‘We’re all sinners. We all make mistakes.’ We shouldn’t point the finger at someone for the mistakes they’ve made or something like that.’”
