WHO WROTE MADUMANE’S ‘IZOLO’ VERSE?

It is certainly no secret that DJ Maphorisa is one of the best South African musicians. The 34-year-old musician left everyone wondering who wrote his verse for Izolo.

In August this year, South African Hip Hop Awards director Rashid Kay claimed that heavyweight rapper Reason aka Sizwe Alakine wrote the Izolo verse.

“Dankie Reason for the ghostwriting,” wrote Kay.

Reason responded to Rashid Kay’s claims writing: “I don’t ghost write. I co-write.”

On Wednesday 17 November, a Twitter page that goes by sahiphop247, claimed that Caracara rapper KO wrote the verse for Maphorisa.

“So KO wrote Izolo for Maphorisa and even taught him how to flow,” wrote the account.

KO responded dismissing the tweet.

“The homies are crushing the fame all on their own. Just salute!”
