South African amapiano artist and DJ Duduzile Ngwenya, popularly known as Lady Du, seems to be fizzling out.

Lady Du has helped contribute to the thriving amapiano scene which clocked in a whopping 1.6 billion views on TikTok in 2021 alone. But, as the saying goes: “Every good thing comes to an end”. Or not?

LADY DU’S FATE LAYS IN THE HANDS OF MZANSI

Lady Du has been at the forefront of amapiano. Some have even dubbed her the “Queen of Amapiano”. however, that does not mean future success is a given…

Every artist knows that they are only as good as the strength of their following… and it looks like Lady Du’s might be falling out.

Social media user @underscoreurb posed the question of Lady Du’s standing on the Twitter streets.

“Is it safe to say Lady Du is done and dusted..?”

The amapiano star really only broke into the Mzansi music scene in 2020. So, the songstress has not had a very long run if this really is the end of her…

THE TWITTER STREET DELIVER THEIR VERDICT

Not only did the majority of social media users agree that her time is coming to an end… they added a few artists to the list too. Shame, what did Focalistic, Josiah and Virgo do?

LADY DU BREAKS INTO THE MZANSI AMAPIANO SCENE

Lady Du broke into the industry early in 2020 and her music career has been rocketing ever since.

The amapiano artist spent 15 years experimenting with different music genres with the hope of finding one that would suit her personality, as reported by Sunday World.

In less than a year in the amapiano space, she has bagged the Best Female Artist award at the South African Amapiano Awards and had an international billboard dedication at New York’s Time Square.

The good sis puts her all into every performance and no one can deny that. No medical issue nor shade has stopped her from sparkling, and it has shown in her success.
