RIP: Family and fans mourn US songstress Emani 22’s death
Emani 22’s family has confirmed that the R&B songstress has passed away…ironically at the age of 22. The exact cause of the ‘Feelings’ singer’s death is not yet known.

R&B artist Emani was on the rise to stardom but unfortunately her life has been tragically cut short. It is reported that the 22-year-old American singer died on Monday 11 October following an accident. The news was confirmed by her family and her producer.
EMANI 22’S FMAILY CONFIRMS HER DEATH
Emani Johnson, popularly known as Emani 22 — who was also known for her song Inside, which featured Trippie Redd — reportedly died after succumbing to injuries following an accident.
A statement sent to People magazine by a family spokesperson reads: “It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emani has confirmed her passing. They would like to share that although she fought courageously and the medical team went above and beyond doing everything in their power to aid in her recovery, on Monday 11 October, Emani succumbed to the injuries she sustained after a tragic accident.”
The family further asked for privacy to mourn and honour Emani’s life and memories.
J MAINE REMEMBERS EMANI 22
American producer J Maine had worked with the Close hitmaker on her music career and played a role in putting together her last project, The Color Red. The seven-track album also served as her debut album.
J Maine remembered Emani 22 as a wonderful individual that brightened up any room she was in.
“The way we worked was effortless, we just understood each other. It hurts so bad to know that the last time I saw her was the last time I’d ever see her again. I considered her to be like a little sister to me,” said the 34-year-old producer.

FANS PAY TRIBUTE TO R&B SONGSTRESS
Rapper and internet personality Bhad Barbie took to Instagram to remember Emani 22.
“I don’t even know what to say…This doesn’t even feel real. I used to spend almost everyday with you. You taught me so many things,” wrote Bhad Barbie.
Several fans took to Twitter to remember the bold songstress and reminisce the impact her music has had in her short career.
“Emani 22 passing really frustrating cause it’s like another Aaliyah story beautiful woman young with so much to show and offer. A great musician rip.”
