‘Three angels on one song’: Costa Titch, AKA, Riky Rick [WATCH]

The South African music industry is mourning Costa Titch, who featured rappers AKA and Riky Rick on his 2019 remix Nkalakatha.

The Big Flexa hitmaker Constantinos “Costa Titch” Tsobanoglou passed away on Saturday, 11 March after collapsing at Ultra South Africa at the Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg. Titch dies a month after Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, who died on 11 February 2023, and a year after Riky Rick, who died on 23 February 2022. 

IOL reports that even though the 27-year-old’s cause of death is yet to be confirmed, “Weekend Argus” revealed that he had a seizure possibly triggered by the flashing lights.

It is believed Costa Tsobanoglou reportedly had a history of epilepsy, a condition that affects the brain and causes seizures.

Renowned rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes died a month before Costa Titch after he got shot and killed at Wish Restaurant in Durban at just 35.

Fakaza reports that the Mpumalanga-born rapper Costa Titch featured Kiernan “AKA” Forbes on the remix of his breakthrough single Nkalakatha in 2019. 

The duo also released a joint album You’re Welcome in September 2021. The album You’re Welcome wasn’t AKA’s first rodeo with a joint album as he also teamed up with Anati on Be Careful What You Wish For in 2017.

Award-winning rapper Riky Rick, real name Rikhado Makhado died a year before AKA and Costa when he committed suicide at 34 years in February 2022.

Fakaza reported in November 2019 that Costa demanded 10,000 comments on social media from his fans in a bid to release his single Nkalakatha, where he featured Riky and AKA.
